This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This is a hands-on STEM activity I can't wait to complete with my science students. I can already see their lightbulbs going off as they process the steps. Also, the lasting impacts that this will have on them and the quality of air in our classrooms, especially after the air quality we had this year.

There was an excess amount of smog, gasses, and dust particles from nearby moss fires that burned for weeks which severely affected us, we spoke about getting air purifiers but could not fund this at the time so if we could get the box fans and air filters we could make our own and have students compete against my other classes to have a model in their rooms as a big STEM experiment.
