My Project

I would like to request $1500 to make a PLC trainer that has at least 12 inputs and 12 outputs. I would like to have several push buttons and selector switches, an actual Emergency Stop button, a few different types of sensors. For outputs, I would like to have at-least 4 lights, 2 motors, and 2 solenoid pneumatic cylinders. Plus a transformer to step power down from 120 to 24 Volts, to make it all safer for the students, as well as a PLC, derails and derail equipment for mounting in the panel. In addition; Portability!

I would make it so that once the students have a solid understanding of how PLC's work, what the purpose is, and how to properly program them, they could advance to the next level by wiring in real world devices directly to and from the PLC.

Having a piece of equipment like this in the shop would give the assembling students a sense of great accomplishment. It would allow also all students, the ability to see other forms of applications rather than just our current
