My Project

I have an amazing group of 21 kindergarten students this year. They come from various backgrounds and abilities but together we are great! Each year to celebrate the final days of kindergarten together we complete an ABC countdown, in which, for the last 26 days of school we do something that correlates to each letter of the alphabet. For example, A is for art and we do an art project, B is for bubbles and brownies, etc...

By counting down the last month together, students are able to reflect on their learning and have some fun while doing so!

The items requested will all be used to help make the days memorable, magical and fun for the students.

The picture frames will be used on A is for art to create a Mother's Day gift. The Brownies will be used for B day, the construction hats and vests will be used for C is for Construction. The glow sticks will be for Glow day. The gloves, masks, and hair nets will be used on O is for Operation day where the students dress up as doctors and perform "surgeries" all day. The pretzels will be used for P is for pretzels, popcorn and pizza day.

My students have all worked so hard this year and deserve to celebrate kindergarten and be celebrated through memorable activities. My main goal in kindergarten to help my students love school and want to come everyday. They will be in school for many more years to come, so why not make the first one in elementary worth it!
