My Project

Preschool is ready to start a worm composting farm! These children create a large amount of food waste. They will take a bite of something new and decide they do not like it. Children also do not eat much at one time.

Instead of throwing these food scraps in the trash, children can learn to compost it to a classroom worm farm!

They not only eat food leftovers, worms also eat paper, egg shells, and cardboard. Not only will this help eliminate some landfill items, it will also help our earth in the process.

The best part.... I am teaching young children how to recycle food scraps and turn it into worm castings that will be plant gold! These skills have the possibility to follow with these children and continue being green.
