Some students may seek sensory input to regulate their emotions and attention, while others may become overwhelmed by certain stimuli, hindering their ability to concentrate and engage in learning activities. Meeting students' sensory needs plays a pivotal role in promoting self-regulation—the ability to manage emotions, behaviors, and impulses. Sensory activities such as deep pressure, adjustable lighting, comfortable seating options, and fidget tools can help students regulate their arousal levels, reducing stress and promoting a calm state conducive to learning.
