This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Help me provide a kidney table for my students. In my first grade classroom, we work in small groups everyday. My students move from station to station working with me or my paraprofessional. Having a kidney shape table to utilize in small group would be so beneficial. It gives me and/or my paraprofessional the opportunity to have students right in front of us while we are teaching and working with students on skills in both reading and math. A kidney table can be used not only in small group with a teacher but can be used for other things such as an art center, or writing center table. It would give my students a place to work independently as well as with a group of students. My students love to learn and they especially love coming to the "teacher table" for instruction having this table would be an amazing asset to my classroom.
