Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As this school year progresses, some of my students still have not developed a love for reading. I want to create a fun way to engage my students to learn to read. Hopefully by using the magnetic white boards to teach sound blending and word building, we will create excitement in the reading process.

After students gain an understanding of decoding words, they can cozy up in a corner with a new book on a bright and appealing rug.

Hopefully by having these things, this will inspire a desire to read before the end of this school year.
