My Project

These materials will be used to reward my students for working on a reading program called AMIRA. The program requires the students to read a story out loud and act as a person correcting mistakes and tracking how fast they are reading the passages. It is meant to improve reading fluency, which leads to better reading skills and literacy; skills that will make my students successful in all that they do.

Like most adults, my students enjoy tangible rewards such as snack packs and chocolates for their hard work.

The students are expected to work on 5 lessons per week as well as 30 minutes total. These prizes will be used to provide incentives to my students for reaching their reading goals each week.

My students are in third grade, which is a crucial year for making sure kids are on grade level for reading in order to set them up to be successful in their future education and life goals. Any contribution to their success would be greatly appreciated.
