This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The need for Certified Nursing Assistants continues to be great. Our instructors seek to provide quality training so that residents in long-term care communities can receive quality care. Our vo-tech students have many shop fees; however, the textbooks are the foundation. It is our desire to lighten their load by providing the most important item they will need to begin their basic training. Hartman Publishing, Inc. provides extraordinary resources which meet the standards for nurse aide training in the State of Delaware. The 'Nursing Assistant: A Foundation in Caregiving' textbook along with the companion workbook will allow our students to learn about the world of healthcare, including such topics as healthcare settings, standards, policies and procedures, ethics and the law, residents rights, key terms, structure and function of body systems, and factors affecting the elderly, just to name a few. Because the 6th Edition is the most up-to-date version of this textbook, you are not only contributing to our student's learning but you are also helping us assure that they receive a quality education utilizing the highest standard materials in their training and education. Our program has a proven success rate, as our students continue to pass the State Competency Exam at a rate of 96% or greater on their first attempt over the past several years. Help us make a difference in the lives of students seeking a career in healthcare as we strive to maintain our commitment to set our students up for success by assuring that they are both college and career ready.
