Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My 3rd grade students have a zest for learning. After a few trying years due to the pandemic, my students exhibit the love of knowledge through books. I want to continue to foster their excitement through books. As we celebrate diversity each month, I would like to share with them updated diverse books that they can read independently and with their peers. The students love reading chapter book series as they are preparing for 4th grade. They also are interested in graphic novels as well. Some reading is done online, however there is nothing like have the touch of a physical book in your hand. I would also like to give them an opportunity to use headsets that are comfortable for all ears. During the next following months students will be exploring different platforms for a research projects. They will be using videos, etc. Having durable headphones would really help us as well. Thank you for supporting our classroom.
