Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager 1st-grade learners who are among the 95% of students in our Title I school who are eligible for free and reduced-price lunch.

Their tummies rumble, and we have to do something about it!

We have a long morning of learning before our lunch hour. Students are in class for almost 4 hours between breakfast and lunch, and it's a long time for them to go without eating something. We are only provided with snacks on some days of the week at our school and on the days we don't get a snack, my students get hungry. I am constantly answering the question, "How much longer until lunchtime?" If this project were to get fully funded, it would help their rumbling tummies have something in them until lunchtime. Please help me fuel their bodies!
