This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

Mrs. Johnson from Pine Bluff AR is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students and audiences a quality sounding portable speaker that can be used to play music during our school programs, various live performances, and annual field trips to assisted living facilities, churches, and community events.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My goal for this project is to be able to carry this ION Block Rocker XL Portable Speaker on the bus for field trips in the community, especially to the assisted living facilities that invite the choir to perform for the residents, as well as events where the choir performs in the school and community. Because the speaker is portable, it can be easily transported between the High School and the Jr. High School, as needed, for various Holiday programs, talent shows, activities, and various music-related events.
Currently, I use my personal blue tooth speaker because the school does not have a portable blue tooth speaker.
I do not mind using my own speaker, but it would be so much more convenient if the choir/music department had its own portable blue tooth.
To help maintain the speaker in good condition, I have a student volunteer who always assists with the operation of the blue tooth speaker, including loading, unloading, positioning, and paring the blue tooth speaker for the choir performances and activities.
If our dedicated supporters at Donors Choose would support our request for a portable blue tooth speaker by providing one for us, our choir and music appreciation students would be most appreciative to you for your generosity.
