My Project

My students are in kindergarten and they have Autism. They have special needs and require a safe space to go to when they need to relax or calm down. My students can often become upset or agitated, and they need bean bag chairs where they can sit to help calm themselves down. The Calming Corner Bundle will help create a sensory area with pillows and a mat that will provide what they need as they work to reduce stress and anxiety. My students also need sensory toys such as Play-Doh and fidget toys. Our class will really enjoy using our new sensory corner which will help ensure their ability to learn.
