Many times, I am the first teacher and classroom that children ever experience when entering school. I want to provide my students with a fun and magical environment that they feel comfortable and excited to return to each day. The items on my wish list will give them just that, a magical environment that they are familiar with. The classroom rug will give them a fresh and clean place to sit and its calming colors will help the student settle in quickly so learning can begin! The Mickey rug will give students an exciting and defined place to participate in learning stations, and the Disney watercolor prints, bulletin border material, wall decals, and themed lighting will create an enchanted classroom environment that will promote learning and happiness!
Students spend more awake time at school than they do at home during the week, therefore, their classroom should be a place where they find the most happiness, and that is what I will accomplish if my project is funded.
Most young children are familiar with the wonders of Disney and paired with the serene color palette; it makes the perfect setting for growing kindergarten minds! Any student who steps into my classroom is well deserving of an exciting and magical school year!
