Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

It is so difficult to focus in class and be successful when one is feeling cold. It is hard to stay focused when you are chilly. This is especially true for our newcomers. Although they come in uniform pants and shirts, uniform sweatshirts are sometimes considered a luxury item and are not often included when back-to-school shopping.

Supplying our students with what they need will help them feel safe and warm while they are learning.

I am requesting sweatshirts for all of my students. I want my students who sometimes don't have appropriate clothes to wear when temperatures drop to have the clothing they need. I don't want my students to have to worry about warmth so that they can focus on learning!
