Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are genuinely moved by the resilience and diversity of our new immigrant students, whom we refer to as Newcomers. They bring with them rich cultural backgrounds and unique life experiences. What we love most about our students is their unwavering determination to overcome the challenges they face in adapting to a new country, language, and culture.

These materials will serve as powerful tools in not only enhancing language skills but also promoting cultural exchange, fostering supportive school and classroom communities, and ultimately ensuring that each student feels seen, valued, and equipped for success in their new academic journey.

They include fostering a sense of inclusion, bridging linguistic gaps, and empowering students with tools that transcend language barriers.
