My Project

Last year I implemented a classroom store in which students could earn a snack/ treat and a drink for filling up their reward chart. It is such a big hit that I am in need of a restock! In addition, this time around I am adding a "specialty drink" option/ reward since Starbucks is all the rave.

My classroom store has shown amazing results in eagerness to learn and I have never had so much class participation and students completing extra practice at home in all my 20 plus years of teaching!

The outcome is that I have almost all of my students reaching their reading fluency goals but best of all their confidence is soaring!

Earning a snack or a treat also helps keep them alert during class when they begin to get hungry. On really good days we have a class snack reward party! This time around I also tried to choose some more healthy alternatives in addition to their favorites! Having around 40 students total can get pretty expensive. Luckily for us we have the kind and generous donors on our side! Without you none of this would be possible, thank you, thank you!
