My Project

Hey Folks, I'm Leo Ricketts, 9th grade Ssocial studies teacher at AHHS, a title one high school in in Newark N.J. serving mostly low-income and first generation African-American and Latino students. I teach all of the school's freshman in a course called introduction to social justice and we’re working on solutions to communal issues like food deserts & insecurity. As such, I am requesting the support from any and all for gardening supplies and seeds to cultivate healthy, locally grown food options to be distributed to students and the local community for harvest in June. Any and all support for this and any other extracurricular endeavors for the introduction to social justice courses are greatly appreciated and valued!
