Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to ask your help in encouraging healthy food habits and a love of cooking in my students. I am a huge proponent of bringing the outside world into my classroom and giving my students real world exposure.

One way of exposing my students to these things is by modeling for students, in the classroom, what food preparation and cooking can look like at home.

In my opinion, hands on experiences foster life long learners, no matter what the subject matter is! With a generous donation of a crock pot, cutting boards, cooking utensils and more, we will be a able to prepare soups, sauces, and all kinds of creations. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
