My Project
The girl's soccer team has set a strong foundation in building a new culture in the program and on campus. The majority of my team consists of students who are new to the United States and have been in the country for less than 1 year. Many have joined an organized sport for the first time, and in a new country! The team is serving a double role allowing the girls to built a community with students, and to learn English at the same time. The rest of my team also consists of students whose parents were refugees to the country. Because this is everyone's first time playing an organized support in the school setting, the young ladies do not have much team apparel.
Having unison in what we wear is a great way to bring confidence and a sense of belonging.
I am requesting matching team Crocs so that every girl can sense belonging. Along with other items, having team Crocs will not only bring a team dynamic, but it will also help keep their cleats safe from being worn before and after games. Your donation will help these girls to not have to fundraise as much or have to worry about paying out of pocket.
