This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Your donation will help my students gain access to period products, feminine hygiene products body wipes, hair products, deodorant, socks, toothbrushes and a cart to organize it all in the privacy of the girls locker room.

Girls need to feel safe and supported in order to feel confident and not worried about meeting their physical needs.

They cannot be successful in the classroom if they have worries about their body. Our goal is that all girls in our school will have equal access to period product resources and other feminine hygiene resources.

Our students are special because our school is 87% Hispanic and an Equity Focused School, with a majority of our students living at or below the federal poverty line.
