This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
This school year and next school year I am looking forward to offering entrepreneurship, etiquette, and self-care/hygiene classes. We will be making/creating, and offering hygiene kits, candles, gift baskets, and jewelry to utilize for our entrepreneurship activities, hygiene clases,and supplies to teach etiquette.
This classes will be part of our 9 week girls empowerment and mentorship program.
I run the classes every week for 9 weeks at a time then host a graduation to celebrate the students progress and achievements. The goal of this after school program is to offer mentorship and social skills guidance to young women struggling with behaviors, self esteem, and/or in need of guidance. I look forward to providing them with educational activities that provide foundational skills that can use now and beyond school.
