Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I want to help teach my students the importance of using fewer single-use plastics. We have a brand-new water fountain that has a touch-free water bottle fill-up. The issue with having water bottles in the classroom is having an easy and quick way to keep the water bottles clean. I want to install the water bottle cleaner to teach the students how to keep their new water bottles clean so they will last for the remainder of the school year.

With the plastic epidemic getting more and more out of control, I want to help teach my second-graders the importance of recycling, reusing, and reducing our use of single-use plastics.

These new BPA-free and reusable water bottles, the bottle water bottle cleaner, the dish drain, and the environmentally safe dish soap are the perfect way to introduce these skills to my second-graders!
