Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our upper grade students are a wonderful group of students who have been working hard all year long. They all have different learning needs and come from different family backgrounds. The specific items I am asking for will be perfect for after state testing. Our students need friendship bracelet kits, lanyard making kits, and rock painting kits because they need to focus on their mental health this time of the year.

State testing takes a lot out of our students, and we need to find ways to help them decompress and focus on their after testing mental health!

Myself and a colleague will hold an arts and crafts club that will allow students to come after school to craft, make bracelets, or paint rocks! This will allow them to destress after a laborious time during spring state testing. Our upper grade students can come into our classrooms and enjoy each others company as they craft and have a safe place to hang out! These items will help to nurture students mental health.
