This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I opened my classroom for an E-sports lunchtime club. In the beginning, I was hoping to get at least 4-8 students but it exploded into a classroom full of students.

There are many benefits to having esports at school as esports embraces students' passion for competitive gaming to foster collaboration, creativity, and inclusion, and participants build strengths in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.

The club currently only has a Nintendo switch with 2 games. So this project is geared towards adding a few new games to not only keep kids interested but to also see what strategies different students use when presented with new situations. It also includes two screen protectors as middle schoolers can sometimes be clumsy.
