My Project

I’ve taught elementary school for 17 years. This is my 4th year teaching kindergarten. In the last 4 years I’ve seen how kindergarteners learn and grow best through play. This is backed up by research, although I see it with my own eyes every day. My class loves to color, glue, tape, cut and build! They are the most creative crew around.

With all of the entertaining options for children now, less time is spent getting creative with crafts.

Crafts are not only fun for children, but they also help students develop fine motor skills. This transfers over to handwriting and cutting skills. My goal is to provide my students will creative ways to develop their fine motor skills without them even knowing they are working on these skills.

All of these art supplies will be used during free and structured play. The foil sticker kits are new to my students and an exciting way to create. The canvas and paints will be used to create projects to take home. The drying rack will help keep all of our projects organized and tidy while they dry.

It is a passion of mine to bring more play and creativity to my kindergarten classroom. Thank you for considering donating to my project!
