This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am in need of acquiring more manipulatives in my integrated preschool classroom as well as sensory materials. These math and reading learning materials will greatly enhance and inspire the love of learning for my students. I plan to use these manipulatives to help enhance the learning we are already doing in our classroom. Hands-on manipulatives help students with math and early literacy skills. Preschoolers learn best through play and these materials will help us to bring more purposeful play into our classroom.

I work in an integrated classroom where I have some students who have sensory aversions.

My students would benefit greatly from more sensory materials, such as sand and water toys. I believe these toys will help them explore and engage in sensory play.
